Bristol Rovers ban former director Kevin Spencer from attending any matches in the future due to "persistent criticism" of the club.

Former Bristol Rovers director Kevin Spencer will no longer be able to attend matches at the Memorial Stadium due to a ban issued by the club.

Spencer, who resigned from the League Two outfit in 2006 following a rift with the board, has been told to stay away from any matches involving the Pirates due to "persistent criticism" of the club.

The club released a statement, which said: "The board feels that the only way to move on is to exclude him from future events."

Spencer's departure also triggered the exit of former managing director Mike Turl.
