Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield has hailed his team's mentality as the Clarets' push for the Premier League's top four continues.
Sean Dyche's men, who are three points behind fourth-placed Liverpool, can go level with the Reds if they win against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
Midfielder Arfield has said that his side have proved their doubters wrong after the club were tipped for relegation ahead of the current campaign.
"At the start of the season we were third favourites, behind Huddersfield and Brighton, to go down," Arfield said, according to The Mirror. "We'd lost Andre Gray and Michael Keane and everyone is thinking it's going to be a difficult season.
"But from the first game of the season, away at Chelsea, you could see the mentality in the players. Winning at Chelsea, walking away from Stamford Bridge with three points, was absolutely massive for us.
"To get into the top four was fantastic but the only thing we are thinking about is getting the three points we need to reach 40 points. You have to carry on working really hard to do that and that's what the manager has set up – a culture which breeds success."
Burnley have earned nine wins from their 18 games so far this season.
