Burnley complete the signing of Sander Berge from Sheffield United on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Burnley have completed the signing of Sander Berge from Sheffield United for an undisclosed fee, thought to be worth around £15m.

The 25-year-old has penned a four-year contract at Turf Moor that will keep him at the club until 2027.

Berge joins the Clarets from fellow newly-promoted side Sheffield United, where he spent three-and-a-half years and made 109 appearances.

The Norway international midfielder becomes Burnley's 10th signing of a busy transfer window as they prepare for life back in the Premier League after winning the Championship last season.

"I have heard a lot of good things about the club and seeing the success from outside last season, there's a great project building here," he told the club's official website.

"It's a great environment full of young talented players from all around the world, so I just think it's the perfect fit for me.

"The club has high ambitions, making several signings and it all just fits into what I'm looking for."

Berge joins Zeki Amdouni, James Trafford, Jordan Beyer, Dara O'Shea, Michael Obafemi, Luca Koleosho, Nathan Redmond, Lawrence Vigouroux and Jacob Bruun Larsen through the door at Turf Moor since their promotion to the Premier League.

However, Sheffield United have now lost two key players in one summer following their promotion, with Berge's exit following on from Iliman Ndiaye's switch to Marseille.

Berge could make his debut for Burnley when they open up the new Premier League season at home to champions Manchester City on Friday night.
