Burnley manager Sean Dyche has refused to confirm whether his side are interested in signing winger Aaron Lennon from Everton.
A report earlier this week suggested that the Clarets have had a bid accepted for the 30-year-old and are now awaiting an agreement on personal terms.
Lennon was not involved for Everton in their 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon - the first Premier League game that he has missed since Sam Allardyce arrived on Merseyside in November - but Dyche is unwilling to comment on any speculation.
"There are different situations that possibly could open up," he told reporters following Burnley's 1-0 loss against Manchester United. "I have always maintained I will talk about my players, there are players out there we have been linked with, and they are not my players.
"We've been linked with a lot of people, which always happens this time of year, it's possibilities and probabilities."
Burnley do not return to action until the final day of the January transfer window, with a trip to Newcastle United on January 31.
