Team News: Fraizer Campbell replaces Gary Medel for Cardiff City

Fraizer Campbell comes back into the Cardiff City XI for the home clash against Southampton.

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has recalled Fraizer Campbell to his starting lineup for the home match against Southampton in the Premier League on Boxing Day.

Gary Medel is the man to make way as Mackay opts to partner Peter Odemwingie with Campbell for the home tie following the more defensive XI at Anfield.

Mauricio Pochettino has made three changes to his XI for the trip to Wales, with Luke Shaw, Jose Fonte and Maya Yoshida all coming back into the side.

Cardiff: Marshall; Taylor, Caulker, Turner, Theophile-Catherine; Whittingham, Gunnarsson, Mutch, Noone; Odemwingie, Campbell

Southampton: Gazzaniga; Chambers, Fonte, Yoshida, Shaw; Cork, Schneiderlin, Davis, Lallana; Rodriguez, Lambert
