Team News: Five changes for Reading, Kenwyne Jones starts for Cardiff City

Reading make five changes to their side as they travel to Cardiff City.

Reading have made five changes to their side as they travel to Cardiff City in the Championship.

Andrew Taylor, Michael Hector, Alex Fernandez, Ola John and Orlando Sa all earn starting places, while Danny Williams, Gareth McCleary and Jordan Obita drop to the bench after starting Tuesday's 2-2 draw at home to Huddersfield Town.

Meanwhile, the hosts have made two alterations as they seek to put Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Leeds United behind them.

Anthony Pilkington replaces the suspended Peter Whittingham in midfield, while Alex Revell drops out of the matchday squad entirely as Kenwyne Jones is preferred as Joe Mason's strike partner.

Cardiff City: Marshall; Peltier, Morrison, Connolly, Malone; Ralls, Gunnarsson, Pilkington, Noone; Jones, Mason
Subs: Moore, Tamas, Dikgacoi, O'Keefe, Kennedy, Ameobi, Saadi

Reading: Al-Habsi; Gunter, Hector, Ferdinand, Taylor; Norwood, Fernandez; John, Vydra, Blackman; Sa
Subs: Bond, Obita, Hurtado, Williams, McCleary, Cooper, Liburd
