Half-Time Report: Celtic lead St Mirren at the break

Stefan Johansen's late header gives Celtic the first-half lead against St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic are leading 1-0 against St Mirren at half time in the Scottish Premiership.

Stefan Johansen's header two minutes from time has given the home side the lead at Celtic Park.

Neil Lennon's side thought that they had the lead on half-hour mark, but Leigh Griffiths's effort was ruled out for offside.

The forward was unfortunate not to break the deadlock moments later when he rounded the goalkeeper only to see the shot blocked on the line.

Earlier in the game, John McGinn had forced Fraser Forster into an excellent save down the other end, and the Celtic goalkeeper was again called into action to deny Jason Naismith.

With the first half petering out, Celtic struck through Johansen to edge them closer to the league title.
