Celtic manager Neil Lennon blasts his players following their defeat to St Mirren in the Scottish League Cup semi-finals.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has slammed his players following their defeat to St Mirren in the Scottish League Cup semi-finals.

The Hoops were beaten 3-2 at Hampden Park on Sunday to end their dreams of a domestic treble.

"That was an impersonation of a team that I know," Lennon told reporters. "There is not one player, maybe with the exception of (Gary) Hooper, that would get pass marks today.

"I thought we were defensively awful, the decision-making was poor and there was a lack of quality in the final third.

"Some of them behaved like spoiled kids out there."

Celtic resume their Scottish Premier League duties on Wednesday when they host Kilmarnock.
