Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers says that he will not stop his players from leaving the club if they wish to do so.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has said that he will not stop his players from leaving the club if they wish to do so, and has said that it is "very hard" to stand in the way of better offers.

The Hoops have lost star players in recent seasons, including Victor Wanyama and Virgil van Dijk, who have both played for Southampton since leaving Glasgow.

Rodgers, however, has said that players wishing to leave the club is a 'natural part' of football.

"There's just a natural process here in terms of a player maybe going," the manager told talkSPORT. "There's always that sort of moral issue.

"If a player's on a certain amount of money here and he's offered four or five times more than that in what is a very short career as a player.

"That's nothing to do with loyalty, that's just their life and their profession. It's very hard for a club to stand in the way of a player. And if the club gets the money, it's a good bit of business."

Celtic lost 4-0 away to Hearts in their last game, a result which ended the club's 69-game unbeaten run in domestic competition.
