Celtic have been crowned Scottish Premier League champions with a comfortable 4-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Celtic Park this afternoon.
Two goals from Gary Hooper and a strike a piece from Joe Ledley and Giorgios Samaras were enough to give Neil Lennon's side the points that confirmed the title was staying with the Glasgow side.
Aaron Doran added a stoppage-time consolation for Terry Butcher's men.
Celtic fans had to wait until just after the hour mark before they could begin their celebrations, as Hooper grabbed his first of the afternoon when Kris Commons curled a pass into the striker's path that he dispatched with a low effort in the corner.
Five minutes later Ledley made it 2-0 when he played a one-two with Mikael Lustig before sending a low drive beyond Inverness goalkeeper Antonio Reguero.
Hopper claimed his second of the day with 73 minutes on the clock with a clever back-heel past Reguero with Commons once again providing the assist for the 25-year-old.
Greek international Samaras made it 4-1 with just three minutes of normal time remaining when he slammed an effort in off the underside of the crossbar.
Doran reduced the deficit in the second minute of stoppage time, but it was Celtic's day.
The defeat leaves Terry Butcher's side third in the SPL.
