Team News: Willian starts first game for Chelsea

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho names Willian in his team for the first time as Basel make the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has given Willian his debut for the club's Champions League meeting with Basel at Stamford Bridge.

The Brazilian will make his first appearance for the team since joining from Anzhi Makhachkala in August, and he will be joined in the side by fellow summer recruits Samuel Eto'o and Marco van Ginkel.

Frank Lampard captains the hosts in the absence of John Terry, who is named on the bench for the winners of the 2012 final.

Basel will be relying on the threat posed by attacking duo Mohamed Salah and Marco Streller, as they look to make a positive start to the competition.

Chelsea: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, D Luiz, Cole; Van Ginkel, Lamps (c); Hazard, Oscar, Willian; Eto'o

Basel: Sommer; Voser, Schär, Ivanov, Safari; Frei; Salah, Diaz, Stocker, Sio; Streller
