Rafael Benitez reportedly decides to hand Frank Lampard a starting spot in the Chelsea team for their Europa League final against Benfica.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will reportedly be handed a starting place for tomorrow evening's Europa League final.

Blues interim manager Rafael Benitez is thought to have planned to leave the England international on the bench following his brace against Aston Villa on Saturday, which made him Chelsea's all-time record scorer with 203 goals.

However, since Eden Hazard picked up a hamstring injury, Lampard could be given his spot in the starting XI as the Belgium international faces a late fitness test, according to The Express.

Captain John Terry is a doubt for the final against Benfica in Amsterdam due to an ankle injury.
