Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Chelsea could line up for Thursday's Conference League last-16 second-leg clash with Copenhagen.

Chelsea will be without at least four players for Thursday's Conference League last-16 second-leg clash with Copenhagen at Stamford Bridge.

While Mykhaylo Mudryk remains suspended, fellow attackers Nicolas Jackson, Noni Madueke and Marc Guiu are all sidelined as they continue to recover from hamstring injuries.

Right-backs Reece James (illness) and Malo Gusto (ankle) both missed Chelsea's narrow 1-0 Premier League win over Leicester City last weekend, but there is hope that both will return to the matchday squad on Thursday.

Either James or Gusto could be fit to start on the right side of a back four at the expense of Wesley Fofana, who is at risk of being dropped, but will likely battle with Levi Colwill, Trevoh Chalobah, Tosin Adarabioyo and Benoit Badiashile for a start in central defence.

Enzo Maresca selected Gusto at left-back for Chelsea's 2-1 first-leg win over Copenhagen last week and may consider starting the Frenchman there again if he opts to rest Marc Cucurella, who scored the only goal in the Blues' win against Leicester.

James, meanwhile, played and scored as a midfielder in the first leg and, if fit, could link arms once again with Moises Caicedo, although Enzo Fernandez may be preferred in the middle of the pitch.

Cole Palmer missed his first-ever penalty against Leicester and although Maresca revealed after the game that the playmaker had been feeling unwell in the days leading up to kickoff, Chelsea's No.20 should be fit to start in an advanced midfield role, while Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Tyrique George all compete for starts out wide.

At the age of just 17 years and 137 days, Shumaira Mheuka became the youngest player to start for Chelsea in a major European competition last week and he may get the nod once again to lead the line ahead of Christopher Nkunku, who is also an option to play on either flank.

Chelsea possible starting lineup: Sanchez; Chalobah, Tosin, Badiashile, Gusto; Fernandez, Caicedo; George, Palmer, Nkunku; Mheuka
