Manchester City will lock horns with Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-finals, while Chelsea are drawn against Crystal Palace.

Manchester City will face Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-finals, while Chelsea have been drawn against Crystal Palace.

The Citizens booked their place in the final four after beating Southampton 4-1 at St Mary's on Sunday afternoon, with Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez all on the scoresheet.

Pep Guardiola's men will now test themselves against Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool, who claimed a slender 1-0 victory against Championship outfit Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this evening.

In the other semi-final tie, European and world champions Chelsea will face London rivals Crystal Palace, the former edging past second-tier side Middlesbrough with a 2-0 win at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday night, courtesy of strikes from Romelu Lukaku and Hakim Ziyech.

Chelsea's hopes of a reunion with club legend Frank Lampard were quashed, after his Everton side were thrashed 4-0 by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday, thanks to goals from Marc Guehi, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Wilfried Zaha and Will Hughes.

Both semi-finals are scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on the weekend of April 16/17.
