How Chelsea could line up against Burnley

Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up in Sunday's Premier League clash with Burnley.

Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they welcome Burnley to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

Thomas Tuchel's first match in charge of the Blues ended in a goalless draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night.

The London club are currently eighth in the Premier League table, seven points behind fourth-placed Liverpool and 11 points off leaders Manchester City, who also have a game in hand.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up against the Clarets.

Doubtful: N'Golo Kante (hamstring)

Tuchel played a 3-4-3 formation against Wolves on Wednesday night, but there is a strong chance that the new head coach could revert to a back four for this weekend's contest.

N'Golo Kante has not featured for Chelsea in the Premier League since January 3 due to a combination of suspension and a hamstring problem, but the France international has been back in training this week and could come into the starting XI for Tuchel's second game at the helm.

There could also be a recall for Mason Mount, who was surprisingly left out of the starting side against Wolves, while Christian Pulisic and Tammy Abraham are also pushing for spots in the XI.

Olivier Giroud and Kai Havertz could both drop to the bench, while Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to be preferred to Hakim Ziyech in a wide position for the Blues.

Jorginho is believed to have been tracked by Tuchel during his spells at other clubs, and the Italy international should get the nod over Mateo Kovacic in the middle of the park.
