Chelsea defender David Luiz is reportedly keeping his fingers crossed that the Blues will allow the Brazilian to compete in the London Olympics this July.
The centre-back, who helped the London outfit clinch the club's first ever Champions League trophy last weekend, is believed to be on Brazil manager Mano Menezes's list for the over-aged players in his team, according to the Daily Mail.
If the Blues allow Luiz to take part in this summer's Games, then the defender is likely to miss out on Chelsea's American pre-season tour as Brazil's opening game on July 26 is just two days before the Blues' friendly against AC Milan.
Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard will reportedly be offered a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
