Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is to be the subject of an individual legal claim from the club's former team doctor Eva Carneiro.
The 42-year-old was dismissed in August after being publicly criticised by Mourinho for treating Eden Hazard during the 2-2 draw with Swansea City on the opening day of the season.
Mourinho had claimed that Carneiro, along with physiotherapist John Fearn, should not have entered the field of play and questioned their knowledge of the game.
It had been reported last week that Carneiro will seek a constructive dismissal claim against Chelsea.
According to Sky Sports News, she will take legal action against Mourinho, and legal papers will be served on the Portuguese coach this week as part of separate but connected claims against him and against the club.
As a result, Mourinho will have to appear in person at an employment tribunal unless the case is settled out of court in advance.
Mourinho was cleared by the Football Association of using discriminatory language towards Carneiro.
