A report claims that Chelsea may install a new manager to replace Roberto Di Matteo before the end of the day.

European champions Chelsea will reportedly name Roberto Di Matteo's successor at some point today.

Di Matteo was relieved from his managerial role during the early hours of this morning in the wake of last night's 3-0 loss to Italian side Juventus in the Champions League.

However, despite having only just removed one manager, the Blues are hoping to have a new one installed within the coming hours, according to Sky Sports News.

Former Liverpool, Valencia and Inter Milan manager Rafael Benitez is the current favourite to fill the void at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea's next match is a home encounter with Premier League champions Manchester City on Sunday.
