Samuel Eto'o: 'Jose Mourinho not joining Paris Saint-Germain'

Samuel Eto'o backs his former Inter Milan and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to reverse the Blues' early-season nightmare and snub an escape route to PSG.

Former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o has backed under-fire manager Jose Mourinho to snub a move to Paris Saint-Germain and put things right in West London.

The Portuguese, 52, has been linked with a move to the French giants in recent days as speculation continues to mount over his future at Stamford Bridge following the Blues' dismal 2015-16 campaign thus far.

The Premier League champions sit 15th in the table, having lost five of their first 10 games, and were eliminated from the Capital One Cup on penalties at Stoke City on Tuesday.

"Firstly I don't think that it is true," the 34-year-old, who played under Mourinho at Inter Milan and Chelsea, told RMC. "I don't see Mourinho contacting Paris Saint-Germain.

"I don't think that Mourinho will leave Chelsea. I think he will help his club to do better."

Mourinho will reportedly be sacked by owner Roman Abramovich if Chelsea lose Saturday's visit of Liverpool.
