Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has insisted that there is no complacency in the squad at the Stamford Bridge.
The Blues recently dropped points against Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, but they opened up a two-point lead at the top of the table last weekend with a 2-0 win over Newcastle United.
While he admits that the team were put through their paces during a busy festive schedule, Fabregas claims that Chelsea are now fully focused on the second half of the season.
"There is never complacency at Chelsea, we just want to win every game," he told the Evening Standard. "Of course that's not possible through the season, there are many, many games.
"You can always have a bad day and things won't go your way, but we are ready. Some of us had a little break. We have recovered from the Christmas schedule. It was tough but we feel that we had a few days to rest."
Chelsea continue their tilt at the Premier League title on Saturday with a trip to Swansea City.
