Frank Lampard is still in contention for the vacant Everton job, according to a report.
The former England international has been out of work after he was fired by Chelsea in January 2021, but since then it has been made clear that he is hoping to get back involved.
The 43-year-old has been linked with the job at Goodison Park following the decision to part ways with Rafael Benitez, and he has already held talks with the club.
According to BBC Sport, Lampard is set for further discussions with Everton and is still in consideration for the job after the recent negative reaction to Vitor Pereira being put forward for the role.
During his time with Chelsea, the former midfielder only had one full season as boss, and he managed to guide them to a fourth-placed finish in the Premier League and an FA Cup final.
Duncan Ferguson is currently in the hot seat for the Toffees, acting as the caretaker manager until a permanent name is hired.
