Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola hails Eden Hazard as an "amazing" player following his big-money move from Chelsea to Real Madrid.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has hailed Eden Hazard as a "very, very, very good player" following his long-awaited move from Chelsea to Real Madrid.

The Belgian was officially unveiled as a Madrid player last week after penning a five-year deal that could ultimately be worth up to £130m to the Blues.

Hazard was at one time linked with joining the blue half of Manchester, but ex-Barcelona boss Guardiola thinks that the attacker will be well-suited to life in La Liga.

"The player they've signed from Chelsea is a very, very, very good player," he told reporters in his native Spain on Friday.

"It's an amazing signing. He's one of the best players I've seen. They're going to have a lot of fun watching him."

During his time at Stamford Bridge, Hazard won two Premier League titles, two Europa Leagues, the FA Cup and the EFL Cup.
