Joe Hart congratulates Chelsea on Premier League title success

Manchester City keeper Joe Hart praises the success of Chelsea as Jose Mourinho's men clinched their first Premier League title for five years.

Manchester City keeper Joe Hart has congratulated Chelsea on securing the Premier League title.

Jose Mourinho's men knew that a victory over Crystal Palace would deliver their first top-flight crown since 2010, and Eden Hazard's strike at Stamford Bridge was enough to clinch the title.

Hart has paid tribute to Chelsea's success as his side failed to keep up with the Blues, who held on to top spot throughout the campaign.

He told Sky Sports News: "First of all congratulations to Chelsea, well deserved of winning the league.

"They did lead from the front, which we've done before and struggled to keep. Great respect to them.

"But they know we'll be back next year, we'll get stronger, other teams around us will get stronger, and it's going to be another exciting season."

City strengthened their position in second place in the Premier League as a result of their 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
