Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho questions FIFA's investigation over Mohamed Salah

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho questions FIFA's decision to investigate Mohamed Salah's move to Roma.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho appears to have hit back at FIFA after the governing body opened an investigation into Mohamed Salah's transfer to Roma.

Fiorentina lodged a complaint to FIFA, which has been rocked by corruption allegations, over a dispute regarding their failure to re-sign Salah on a season-long loan.

The Egypt international spent half of the 2014-15 campaign on loan at Fiorentina, and the Italian outfit believe a clause that gave them first option to re-sign him was in place.

However, reports have claimed that the option was agreed, but only on the condition that Salah chose to return to Fiorentina.

When asked about the investigation, Mourinho told reporters: "I'm happy that FIFA has time for other things in the middle of such a great weather around them. I'm happy they have time for other things."

Salah signed for Chelsea last year, but struggled to seal a regular starting spot at Stamford Bridge.
