Former England international Gary Lineker believes that everyone should "move on" from the Twitter row surrounding Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole.
The defender apologised to the Football Association after branding the governing body a "bunch of twats" following the release of the written reasons behind John Terry's four-match ban.
The independent commission claimed that Cole was encouraged to add "black" to his statement by Chelsea, which the full-back took to mean that the commission was accusing him of lying.
Lineker wrote on Twitter: "See Ashley Cole has apologised and deleted the tweet, saying it was in the heat of the moment. Good news! Now, let's be grown up and move on."
Meanwhile, Terry has 14 days to appeal the suspension, which was handed after the centre-back was found guilty of racially abusing Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand.
