Jose Mourinho reportedly agrees a three-year contract with Chelsea ahead of a summer return to Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is reportedly edging closer to a return to Chelsea by agreeing a contract with the West London outfit.

The Portuguese boss, who has been heavily tipped to leave the Bernabeu in the summer, left Stamford Bridge in 2007 due to a reported rift with club owner Roman Abramovich.

Despite their alleged fall-out six years ago, the Russian tycoon is eager to appease fans by offering Mourinho a three-year contract, according to The Express.

The report has claimed that the successful 50-year-old manager will sign the deal as long as the Blues secure Champions League football for next season by finishing in the top four.

It is also believed that Mourinho is unwilling to work under technical director Michael Emenalo, who is said to be close with Abramovich.
