The Premier League announces that Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo and Chelsea winger Eden Hazard have won the monthly awards for September.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo and Chelsea winger Eden Hazard have won the Premier League monthly awards for September.

Nuno won the Championship title with Wolves last season, and the Portuguese has helped the West Midlands outfit to 15 points from their opening eight fixtures in the top flight.

Wolves went through September without suffering defeat, with wins being recorded over West Ham United, Burnley and Southampton and a draw being earned away at Manchester United.

The player of the month accolade has gone to Hazard, who has already contributed seven goals and three assists during his first eight appearances in the Premier League this season.

Five strikes came during September, including a trebleagainst Cardiff City midway through the month.
