Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri tips Alvaro Morata to kick on at Stamford Bridge following an impressive run.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has tipped Alvaro Morata to kick on at Stamford Bridge following an impressive run.

Morata, 26, struggled for goals at the start of the 2018-19 campaign, but the Spaniard's double in Sunday's 3-1 win over Crystal Palace means that he has scored four in his last four Premier League matches.

Sarri has said that Morata is 'improving in confidence and personality' with each passing week, and he has backed the former Real Madrid striker to continue moving in the right direction.

"He improves in confidence, in personality, in playing with the team, so now I am very happy," Sarri told Sky Sports News. "He can improve more because the technical potential and physical potential is great, now he has confidence he can improve more."

Morata has scored 21 times in 63 appearances for Chelsea since arriving from the Bernabeu in 2017.
