Daniel Sturridge to get run of games

Roberto Di Matteo says that Daniel Sturridge will get a string of games in the near future for Chelsea.

Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge will have a run of games in the Blues starting lineup, according to boss Roberto Di Matteo.

The England international came on for the final ten minutes of his side's 0-0 draw with Queens Park Rangers at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

After impressing with his cameo performance, Di Matteo admits that the 23-year-old could get a run in the side as Chelsea's fixtures pile up.

"We've only played four in the league now. We're going to have seven games - including this - in 21 days. So there is time for everybody to play," said Di Matteo.

"He can maybe play more minutes, for sure.

"As long as he keeps training well and, when he has the opportunities, shows his qualities, that's the way forward, and he will get chances to play as well."

Chelsea face Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday.
