Fernando Torres believes Chelsea are in good form as the new Premier League season draws near.

Fernando Torres believes that Chelsea are well prepared for the start of the new Premier League season.

The Blues have been in good form throughout pre-season, winning five out of five friendly encounters.

World Cup winner Torres has been impressed with new manager Andre Villas-Boas' man-management skills and is confident their pre-season results will stand them in good stead.

"Our fitness is very good, we have won all the games we have played in and it is only two weeks until the new season starts," Torres told the Star.

"The manager has given minutes to everyone and everyone feels they are part of the team. That is important.

"When you have players with quality and players who can play in different positions, you are able to use different formations.

"It is very good news as it is working very well."

Torres, 27, joined Chelsea in January from Liverpool for £50m.
