Chelsea promise to take action against any of their fans proven to be involved in racist chanting on the train back from their goalless draw against Norwich City on Saturday.

Chelsea have promised to take action against any of their fans proven to be involved in alleged racist chanting on the train back from their goalless draw at Norwich City on Saturday.

The news comes just a week before the Blues take on Queens Park Rangers in their FA Cup fourth round tie at Loftus Road.

Chelsea captain John Terry was charged with racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand during a league game between the clubs in October.

"We are working to help the relevant authorities identify those responsible," read a club statement.

"We will take the strongest possible action should these allegations prove to be true.

"The club strongly believe all forms of discrimination are abhorrent and have absolutely no place in society."

Terry, who denies the allegations from the match in October, will face a hearing at West London magistrates court on Wednesday, February 1.
