Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko has reportedly failed to secure a deadline day move after proposed deals with Cremonese and Lyon fell through.
The 28-year-old has been on loan at AC Milan from Chelsea since August 2021, in a deal that included an option to buy.
Bakayoko had to settle for 14 Serie A appearances in Milan's title-winning campaign last term, but he is yet to feature for the Rossoneri this season.
The Italian giants have been unwilling to play the Frenchman, as it would trigger a £12m purchase option.
Bakayoko, who is still under contract with Chelsea until June 2024, looked set to complete a loan move on the final day of the January transfer window.

Serie A club Cremonese and Ligue side Lyon have both held talks over a potential loan deal until the end of the season, however, the player's agent Federico Pastorello has revealed that a move is now unlikely to happen.
"Bakayoko couldn't join Cremonese due to a few issues," Pastorello told Sky Sport Italia. "I don't think [he'll join Lyon]. There are some problems between Lyon, Milan and Chelsea."
Bakayoko joined Chelsea in 2017, but he failed to make a real impact at Stamford Bridge, and as a result, he has experienced four loan spells away from the club.
The midfielder spent a season with Milan in the 2018-19 campaign, and he went on to play for Monaco and Napoli, before returning to the Rossoneri in 2021.
Following the failure to complete a late deal, Bakayoko now looks set to spend the rest of the season in the stands.
