Barcelona are reportedly set to rival a host of other European clubs including Brighton & Hove Albion and Nottingham Forest for the signature of Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico.
The 29-year-old is believed to be ready for a fresh challenge and is expected to leave the Dutch giants this summer as he has just 12 months remaining on his contract in Amsterdam.
According to Sky Sports News, Barcelona have reignited their interest in the Argentina international, who could be available for a little as €5m (£4.3m).
However, the Catalan giants are set to face competition from the likes of Brighton and Nottingham Forest, the former of whom identifying the left-back as a potential replacement for Manchester City target Marc Cucurella.
Both the Seagulls and Forest have made enquiries for Tagliafico, but the report adds that Barca seems to be the current frontrunners for his signature as they can offer Champions League football.
Atletico Madrid are another club believed to be monitoring his situation, while Chelsea have previously identified the Buenos Aires-born left-back as a potential target to provide cover for Ben Chilwell.
Tagliafico has spent the last four years with Ajax and has recorded 16 goals and 22 assists in 167 appearances across all competitions, but he fell down the pecking order under former boss Erik ten Hag last season, starting only nine times in the Eredivisie.
