Bayer Leverkusen deny interest in Kevin de Bruyne

Rudi Voller claims that Bayer Leverkusen are not interested in Chelsea winger Kevin de Bruyne anymore.

Bayer Leverkusen general manager Rudi Voller has insisted that they are not interested in signing Kevin de Bruyne from Chelsea in January.

The German outfit are one of a number of clubs linked with a move for the Belgian winger, who has struggled to play regularly for the Blues so far this season.

"We have had an interest in Kevin de Bruyne, of course," Voller told Bild. "He is an excellent player.

"But at this point in time we do not have an interest in his services. We have a strong squad and already have enough quality players in de Bruyne's position."

Chelsea signed De Bruyne from Genk in 2012 and sent him out on loan to Bundesliga side Werder Bremen for the 2012-13 season.
