Chelsea winger Kevin de Bruyne has revealed that it was "difficult" to see the club sign Willian at the end of the summer transfer window.
The Belgian international has made only four appearances for the Blues this season after returning on loan from Werder Bremen.
De Bruyne now admits that the arrival of Brazilian playmaker Willian has made competition for places even tougher.
"I chose to stay and I have no regrets," Sport Wereld quotes him as saying. "Still, Willian then came in at the last minute, which was a bit difficult, but I continue to fight hard. My chance will come."
Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday when they welcome Cardiff City to Stamford Bridge.
