Championship club Burnley are reportedly keen on signing former Chelsea midfielder Jacob Mellis.
The 21-year-old was sacked by the Blues yesterday afternoon, having admitted to setting off a smoke grenade at the club's training ground earlier this month.
Mellis recently had a loan spell at Burnley's league rivals Barnsley, where he impressed during a six-month stint.
Now, Burnley are keen to capture the services of Mellis, who will not command a transfer fee, according to Sky Sports News.
Brighton & Hove Albion and Bristol City are also understood to be monitoring the situation.
