Chelsea and Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao are confident that they can agree a deal to see the Colombian forward move to Stamford Bridge in the summer, according to reports.

Chelsea are favourites to sign Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao in the summer, according to reports.

Falcao has also been linked with potential moves to Manchester City and Real Madrid, but talks between Chelsea and the 27-year-old are at an advanced stage, according to the Daily Star.

The former Porto player has been in superb form for Atletico this season, scoring 27 goals in 31 appearances to help his side to third place in the La Liga table.

The deal for the Colombian international is expected to be in the region of £40m, but Chelsea frontman Fernando Torres could be offered in part-exchange.
