AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Chelsea.
With doubts remaining over whether Ben Chilwell will require surgery on an ACL injury, head coach Thomas Tuchel has been forced to consider alternatives to the England international at left wing-back.
According to El Nacional, the Blues boss is an admirer of Hernandez, who has enjoyed a terrific spell at San Siro.
The France international has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season, with five assists coming from his 14 outings in Italy's top flight.
At a time when they are challenging for the Serie A title, Milan officials are likely to be against a sale, but failure to secure European football for the second half of the season will have an impact on their finances.
The report suggests that Milan may be prepared to accept an offer in the region of €40m (£33.94m) in January.
