Chelsea have reportedly decided that they want to extend the contract of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The midfielder has graduated from the Blues academy setup, but the 23-year-old continues to be considered as a squad player at Stamford Bridge.
However, according to The Sun, Chelsea are keen to hand the England international a long-term deal at the end of the season.
The West Londoners want to keep hold of more of their younger players going forward, and Loftus-Cheek has largely impressed when provided with an opportunity by Maurizio Sarri.
Loftus-Cheek has made a total of 15 starts and 22 substitute outings in all competitions during the current campaign, but just five starts have come in the Premier League.
The playmaker still has just over two years left on his existing contract.
