Real Madrid to spend £460m on new players ahead of next season?

A report claims that Zinedine Zidane will be heavily backed to land five more of his transfer targets during the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid will back manager Zinedine Zidane with a £460m transfer kitty ahead of next season, according to a report.

The Frenchman was persuaded to return to the Bernabeu in March with the promise that he would be given free rein to freshen up Los Blancos' stale squad.

AS claims that Zidane has sat down with his bosses to identify the five players that he wants to acquire during the summer transfer window.

Madrid's spending spree, if they land each of their targets, will see them splash out more on new players over the next three months than they have on their last 23 signings over the last five years.

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard remains top of Zidane's wishlist, the report claims, while Paul Pogba of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen are the other Premier League players being targeted.

Luka Jovic and Tanguy Ndombele, of Eintracht Frankfurt and Lyon respectively, are the two other names being mentioned.

Madrid, who will end the season trophiless, have already signed Eder Militao from Porto for £43m.
