Andreas Christensen in line for new Chelsea deal?

Chelsea are reportedly keen to hand a new contract to defender Andreas Christensen, who has impressed for the Blues since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to hand a new long-term contract to defender Andreas Christensen.

After only being regarded as backup under Frank Lampard, the Denmark international has been provided with a new lease of life by recent appointment Thomas Tuchel.

The 24-year-old, who has been deputising for Thiago Silva, has helped the Blues keep clean sheets against Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool in recent weeks.

According to The Telegraph, club officials are hoping that Christensen is happy to pen fresh terms at Stamford Bridge.

The centre-back currently has less than 18 months remaining on his existing deal, leading to a number of clubs starting to monitor the situation.

Chelsea are also said to want Antonio Rudiger to sign a new contract in the coming months.
