Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic is relishing the chance to prove himself to Thomas Tuchel after struggling to hold down a starting spot under the German coach.

Christian Pulisic has insisted that he is "happy" at Chelsea as he moved to distance himself from talk of a move away from the club.

The United States international admitted earlier this month to being frustrated at being overlooked for a starting spot against Real Madrid.

Pulisic scored a crucial away goal for Chelsea in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final with Madrid, only to be named among the subs for the return match.

However, the 22-year-old - who has started 11 games out of a possible 26 since Thomas Tuchel replaced Frank Lampard - is looking forward to proving himself at Stamford Bridge.

"Yeah, I'm obviously happy here. It has been an incredible two years," he told ESPN.

"People have always doubted and said: 'Oh, he's not playing, does he want to go here, does he want to go there?' I'm always up for a challenge, I love competing, I love the position I'm in and I'm enjoying my time here."

Pulisic started Chelsea's 1-0 loss against Arsenal on Wednesday and is in contention to feature from the beginning in Saturday's FA Cup final clash with Leicester City.
