Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca could reportedly push the Blues to sign another Leicester City player this summer following the arrival of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall earlier this month.

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca could reportedly push the Blues to sign another Leicester City player this summer.

Maresca was in charge of the Foxes last season and steered the club to the Championship title before replacing Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge in June.

The Italian boss has since poached key midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester for a reported £30m, with the 25-year-old penning a long-term contract until June 2029.

Dewsbury-Hall is one of six new arrivals at Chelsea this summer along with defender Tosin Adarabioyo, while the remaining four signings are all aged 20 and under and are considered as potential stars for the future.

The West Londoners are expected to continue bolstering their squad ahead of the new season, and Maresca seemingly has his eyes on raiding his former club Leicester for another of their first-team stars.

Maresca keen to sign Hermansen?

According to the Daily Mail's Midlands correspondent Tom Collomosse, Maresca is 'big admirer' of Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen.

However, Collomosse states that is unclear whether the Italian's admiration for the 24-year-old shot-stopper "will develop into anything more solid".

As thing stand, Leicester are said to value Hermansen in the region of £45m, just 12 months after signing the Danish goalkeeper from Brondby for just £5m.

Hermansen was signed by Leicester under Maresca following the club's relegation from the Premier League and he quickly established himself as the club's first-choice goalkeeper ahead of Danny Ward and Daniel Iversen.

The Odense-born shot-stopper kept 13 clean sheets in 44 Championship appearances for the Foxes, playing a key role in the club's title-winning campaign.

What does the future hold for Sanchez, Petrovic?

Maresca's interest Hermansen seemingly raises further doubts over the futures of Chelsea goalkeepers Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic.

BBC Sport claims that Petrovic has been offered to Genoa, but the 24-year-old is currently considered out of the Serie A club's price range.

Petrovic joined Chelsea last summer for around £14m from New England Revolution and benefitted from Sanchez's long-term injury during the second half of last season to make 23 Premier League appearances in 2023-24.

Sanchez, meanwhile, was initially signed by Chelsea to become their number one goalkeeper and started 16 Premier League games before missing the final five-and-a-half months of the season.

As things stand, it is understood that Sanchez is set to remain at Chelsea and battle for starts with a potential new signing, while Petrovic could be moved on if a fresh face is brought in at Stamford Bridge.
