Belgian International to join Werder Bremen

Kevin De Bruyne reveals that he wishes to leave Chelsea on loan to play regular first-team football.

Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has revealed that he wishes to leave Chelsea on loan to ensure he plays regular first-team football, with Werder Bremen expected to confirm his signing.

The 21-year-old signed for Chelsea in January but was immediately loaned to Genk, and the Belgian international has stated his wish for a similar agreement this season.

De Bruyne told Bild: "Roberto Di Matteo understands my situation. I want to leave Chelsea and Werder Bremen is a good team."

De Bruyne has so far made two appearances for Chelsea during their pre-season tour of America.
