Roberto Di Matteo coy on Victor Moses, Raul Meireles futures

Roberto Di Matteo gives little away when questioned on the future of transfer target Victor Moses and midfielder Raul Meireles, who has been linked with Spurs.

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has refused to be drawn on their pursuit of Victor Moses and the potential departure of Raul Meireles.

Moses has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge throughout the summer, with the Blues having an offer in the region of £7.5m rejected by Wigan Athletic.

The Champions League winners have not given up hope of signing the Nigerian winger, but Di Matteo was coy when asked about the player ahead of their Premier League opener against the Latics.

"He's a young, talented guy... that plays for Wigan. We've played against him before - we know very well what ability he has," he said.

Meanwhile, Meireles has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur as Spurs go in search of a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Luka Modric.

Lillywhites boss Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly keen to reunite with his Portuguese compatriot, whom he managed both at Porto and Stamford Bridge, but Di Matteo could not confirm whether the midfielder would be with Chelsea beyond the weekend.

Di Matteo said: "He [Meireles] is with us. He's going to be with us at the weekend."

Italian side Napoli have also been credited with an interest for Meireles, who may be surplus to requirements following the summer arrivals of Marko Marin, Oscar and Eden Hazard.
