Olivier Giroud has reportedly decided to fight for his place at Chelsea rather than actively search for a new club this summer.
The Blues signed Giroud from Arsenal in January, and the France international played a key role as the West Londoners went on to lift the FA Cup.
However, Chelsea are said to be in the market for a new striker after the arrival of head coach Maurizio Sarri, and it could potentially leave Giroud as third-choice frontman at Stamford Bridge.
Atletico Madrid have been linked with an approach for the 31-year-old, but according to the Daily Mail, Giroud intends on remaining at Chelsea for the upcoming campaign.
The report suggests that Marseille also hold an interest in the player, but Giroud is keen to fight for his place and see out the remaining year on his contract.
