A football agent describing Emerson Palmieri as his client has posted a picture appearing to show the Roma defender holding a Chelsea shirt alongside club official Marina Granovskaia.
The 23-year-old enjoyed a fruitful season with the Giallorossi last term but a knee ligament injury has restricted him to just two appearances this season.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea have agreed an £18m fee for the full-back, with that figure rising to £22m including add-ons.
Although no deal has been announced by the two clubs, John Harriott has tweeted a photo on his personal account appearing to show Palmieri in front of Chelsea signage holding the number 33 jersey.

Antonio Conte's side have confirmed just one new signing so far this month, with Ross Barkley arriving from Everton for a fee of £15m.
