Chelsea have reportedly set a £52m asking price for attacker Kai Havertz this summer, amid interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid as they look to rebuild their forward options.
The 23-year-old has been a regular fixture for the Blues this season in a campaign which ended in a 12th-placed finish, with the German providing eight goal contributions in 30 Premier League starts.
Having made the switch to Stamford Bridge from Bayer Leverkusen prior to the 2020-21 term, the attacker has managed to score 32 goals in 139 appearances for the West London club - his most notable strike being the only goal of the 2021 Champions League final.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have set an asking price of £52m for Havertz as they look to trim their bloated squad ahead of the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino to their managerial hotseat.
It is believed that Real Madrid are ready to step up their efforts to bring Havertz to the Bernabeu, following confirmation that Karim Benzema will be ending his 14-year spell at Los Blancos this summer.
The report claims that the German is keen on a move to the La Liga heavyweights, with Chelsea seeing Havertz as a saleable asset as the club look to bring down the size of their squad ahead of the new season.
