Real Madrid have offered Monaco €70m (£59.5m) to sign their midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni in the upcoming transfer window, according to a report.
The 22-year-old has become one of the most sought after prospects in European football following back-to-back impressive campaigns with the Ligue 1 side.
The likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have been heavily linked with an interest in acquiring the Frenchman's services this summer, after it was recently confirmed that he would be leaving Monaco.
However, a report from RMC Sport indicates that Real Madrid have offered €70m (£59.5m) to take the midfielder to Spain, although Monaco continue to hold out for a fee of around €80m (£68m).
A recent report from the same outlet had already indicated that Tchouameni had opted to put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Los Blancos in recent days, with a move to the Spanish capital seemingly edging closer.
Tchouameni scored three goals and registered two assists from his defensive midfielder role for Monaco in 35 Ligue 1 appearances in the 2021-22 campaign, helping his side make a return to Champions League football following a third-place finish.
