Report: Frank Lampard to sign one-year Chelsea extension

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is reportedly close to agreeing a new one-year extension at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard is reportedly poised to sign a new one-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

The 35-year-old's future has been in doubt due to his current contract coming to an end in the summer.

However, the final details on a new deal for Lampard are close to completion following a number of talks with the Blues hierarchy, according to The Express.

Reports have claimed that Lampard is keen to have fresh terms sorted out before this summer's World Cup in Brazil, as he hopes to be part of the England setup for the final time.

It is believed that the midfielder's teammate John Terry has also been offered a new deal by Chelsea.
